
This card is postmarked 1944. It's a linen by Metrocraft, card 47214.
This is a linen card 5484 by the E.C.Kropp Co. It's unused so I don't have any date for it.
The two cards above are so similar - the smoke rings coming out of the outhouse, the facial hair and body types
of the 4 men... somebody copied someone! Which came first I haven't a clue.
This card is a chrome by Kromecolor, and is unused too. It's card number 253.
This is a Petly chrome card. It's used but I can't make out the date.

This card is by LL Cook & Co, who are better known for their real photo cards. It's number L.C.19, copyrighted
1950, and signed by the initials S.V.A.

OK, what's the scoop on this punch line??? Were there lawsuits over this? Were bitter court battles
waged and fought for the legal rights to a corney outhouse postcard? Did the companies just shrug their
sholdiers and and figure there were plenty of bathroom humor puns to go around? If anyone has any
